Bug ID: 465812 Summary: Files in Filesystem panel duplicated when starting new session Classification: Applications Product: kate Version: 22.12.2 Platform: openSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: sessions Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: groszdaniel...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 156288 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=156288&action=edit Screenshot SUMMARY If the Filesystem sidebar is open, and you start a new session, files start to appear twice in the sidebar. This only happens if the Filesystem sidebar doesn't switch to a different directory when starting a new session. (If a saved session is open, the sidebar may switch to a different directory, I guess to the last location that was open in the Filesystem sidebar when an anonymous session was used.) Only files are duplicated, not directories. The issue goes away once you change the location in the sidebar. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make sure the Filesystem sidebar is open. 2. Click Sessions/New Session. 3. If the sidebar goes to a different location, click Sessions/New Session again. OBSERVED RESULT Files appear twice in the sidebar. (See screenshot.) EXPECTED RESULT Files appear once in the sidebar.
