Bind some action causing a switch to another window (in my case, open Yakuake) to Ctrl+Mute or some other shortcut with Ctrl 2. Open Kate with some document 3. Use the shortcut to switch to another window while leaving Kate window on screen 4. Scroll over the document open in Kate to scroll it OBSERVED RESULT Scrolling the mouse wheel causes font size changes instead of scrolling the document even though the Ctrl button is not pressed when scrolling.
