So this is the intended design at the moment. I understand that had to be bigger to make room for the place where events are shown. Only the thing is: " when I turn off the holidays than Calendar stays very big. ". It doesn't return to it's original size. As far as I remember some time ago it was smaller and there was place for events are shown, that's why i noticed the difference. Anyway for me it looks like not fixed bug which happened several weeks ago where several elements in Plasma were bigger than usual, because Plasma considered it like tablet mode, or something like this.
