I launch Digikam 7.9.0 appimage. I tag a few hundred photos. I let it sit for several hours. I click on the start menu. The start menu entries are gone. No other user programs are running. I can repeat this with the preceding steps. The same thing happens every time. Clearly Digikam has something to do with the disappearing start menu entries. It's using about 7GB out of 16GB RAM.
