            Bug ID: 464661
Summary: Cannot change power profile anymore
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: Powerdevil
           Version: 5.26.90
          Platform: Other
                OS: Other
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: m...@iyanmv.com
                CC: m...@ratijas.tk
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
After upgrading to Plasma 5.26.90 I cannot change the Power profile anymore.
Some events can still trigger a change (e.g. connecting laptop to AC after
setting , but the moment the profile is manually changed, it is not possible to
change it again. This issue is not just a "visual" bug in the battery and
brightness panel. Trying to change the power profile with keyboard shortcuts
(Fn + H, Fn + M, Fn + L) or writing to /sys/firmware/acpi/platform_profile is
also blocked somehow by Plasma.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to change power profile

OBSERVED RESULT
It doesn't work anymore. Here is a video showing the issue.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I just saw that there has been also a recent kernel upgrade doing some changes
to thinkpad_acpi. Unfortunately, I upgraded both Plasma and linux at the same
time. I will try old kernels to double check that this is indeed a Plasma bug
and not a kernel bug.
