Terminals do intercept some shortcuts such as Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V, etc. So you have
to assign some shortcuts which doesn't mess up with those. Setting shortcut
with multiple modifier keys like Ctrl+Shift+<anything> or Ctrl+Alt+<anything>
is a good idea.

I have tried with some alternate shortcuts which do not mess up with the
default terminal shortcuts, and it works as expected.
