SUMMARY

The annoyance seems to be triggered from every submenu. Pressing ctrl+f
visually looks like it focuses the search component (top right), with the
blinking cursor and everything. But typing does not work. The element needs to
be clicked. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open system settings in any modue
2. Press ctrl + f, the visual effect of focusing the search bar appears
3. Try typing

OBSERVED RESULT

Nothing is being typed.

EXPECTED RESULT

Search works as if clicked.
