STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open digikam
2. Create a new database (no difference between SQLite and MySQL)
3. Wait a bit (I got to ~70%)

OBSERVED RESULT
At around 70%, the RAM usage got very high (9 GB with gdb, I have 16 GB
available) and the program crashes. After the crash, the RAM used is not
completely cleared (4 GB total usage before, 9 GB after the crash).

EXPECTED RESULT
digikam should successfully create a database.
