            Bug ID: 464216
           Summary: Misleading Polish translation in the network settings
    Classification: Translations
           Product: i18n
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Archlinux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: pl
          Assignee: kdei18n-pl-uw...@lists.sourceforge.net
          Reporter: igor.orde...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

The dropdown for selecting the method of obtaining an IP address (System
settings -> Network -> Connections -> IPv4 or IPv6 tab -> Method) is very
misleading in Polish.
The first one ("Automatic" in English) is "Sam ustaw" which means "Set it
yourself". I think the person who translated it that way thought that "I, the
user, am telling the computer to set it yourself". Now I know that it means
automatic but for the first time I was trying for like 10 minutes to somehow
type in an ip because I had selected the option to "set it myself".
In my opinion it should be directly translated from English(like in every other
OS) and not come with it's own terminology.

Here's my proposed translation:
- "Automatic" -> "Automatyczny" (Maybe it should mention that it uses DHCP too?
Windows, Gnome and probably many others do that and it makes sense)
- "Automatic (Only addresses)" -> "Automatyczny (tylko adresy)"
- "Link-Local" -> "Link-Local" (I haven't found a good translation. Leaving it
the same as in English makes it easier to google. Plus, gnome doesn't translate
it either)
- "Manual" -> "Manualny"
- "Shared to other computers" -> "Współdzielony" (I'm not sure on this one)
- "Disabled" -> Wyłączony"

The last 3 options aren't confusing. They just don't match grammatically with
the label "Tryb:".
