I believe this feature request is still revenant. There isn't a user-friendly
way to turn off the display sooner while locked. It seems that:

Couldn't kscreenlocker use the same mechanism to automatically turn off
monitors with a shorter timer than the power profile specifies?

I find this a rather important feature to save power. It's been requested over
