I have a somewhat similar issue when capturing XWayland windows in OBS, where
the capture in OBS will seemingly randomly drop framerates or freeze
completely, then unfreeze if OBS is put back in focus as the active window.
Only affects XWayland as far as I can tell, and after talking with the OBS
support Discord channel they seems convinced this is related to KDE Wayland as
OBS is rendering frames without issue, KDE just isn't sending them.
This is only on the capture, the Xwayland windows itself runs without issue so
it might have to do with the capture portal?
