and thank you for the fast reply! I was indeed referring
to what is called "Places" menu in English. With you help
I was able to purge the list of "places" manually.

"system settings" of which program? The Dolphin configuration
menu does not have a "system settings" menu. Perhaps I am
confused because I am using Dolphin with German language setting,
but I cannot recognize any menu points that deal with file tracking.
