Thanks for providing those options. I still think the ability to have a custom
list would be quicker and easier. If you hide the unused tags then you are
forced to start typing to ad more. The recently used list requires a right
click, arrow down, and expanding of a menu to select each new tag. The ability
to have a custom list would save a lot of time by selecting my picture and
clicking on each tag in a small custom list.

In my scenario I use tags for people. In my entire collection I've tagged
hundreds of people so I have a lot of tags. Most days I only need the tags of
immediate family members which requires scrolling or manually start typing each
name and selecting. For now my work around is to run two separate
configs/collections of digikam. One config points to a collection that
contains a single image that I've added my most used tags. I add all my new
pictures to this config/collection and tag them. Once that is done I move the
pictures to the location of the other config/collection that contains my entire
library of photos.

If you feel this feature would not benefit others I understand plus I have a
decent work around. I used another program in the past that allowed the option
of a custom list and it was very useful to me, but I love the look, layout, and
speed of digikam so it is my editor of choice.
