Bug ID: 462480 Summary: Opened Windows disappear from Task Manager when moved to non-primary monitor Classification: Plasma Product: kwin Version: 5.26.4 Platform: Archlinux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: compatibility Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: transtr...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 154185 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=154185&action=edit Screen Capture of the effect SUMMARY Note: On X11 session, using multiple monitors and multiple Desktops (Desktop chosen doesn't affect reproducibility) After the switch I made to using multiple Desktops (switched with Ctrl + F1/F2/F3), I noticed opened windows, for example Firefox, Dolphin, etc, disappear from the Task Manager when dragged to a monitor, other then the primary one. I'm unsure has the recent change to using multiple Desktops has affected this, but that didn't happen a week ago, before I started using them. Moving just over the middle of the window is enough to show the behavior. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Log into X11 session, have at least 2 monitors, have multiple Desktops configured (unsure about the last one) 2. Open any application on primary monitor and notice it being highlighted in the Task Manager 3. Move the application to second monitor OBSERVED RESULT Watch the application icon from the Task Manager disappear EXPECTED RESULT The application icon stays on the Task Manager as opened application SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: ArchLinux 6.0.10-zen2-1-zen (64-bit) KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.100.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 Session: X11 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Appears on kwin 5.26.3 also -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
