  Target Milestone: 1.0

I have a Debian Bookworm laptop which is connect to an external monitor through
a docking station.
It happens sometimes that the desktop/background is all black.
I can see the bottom panel, etc. and it works correctly.
But I don't see the desktop icons or the desktop background: everything is
black.
It seems to happen only on the primary screen, not on the secondary.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch Plasma

OBSERVED RESULT
The desktop/background of the primary screen is all black.

EXPECTED RESULT
The destkop should have a background and files on it.
