Bug ID: 462313 Summary: Screen isn't locked automatically after the set time span of inactivity Classification: Plasma Product: kscreenlocker Version: 5.26.3 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: firlaevhans.fi...@protonmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY This bug was introduced in 5.26, I believe. The screen locker can be activated manually with a shortcut, and it also comes on when waking the system from sleep. However, the screen is never locked automatically due to inactivity. On my system the timeout is set to 5 minutes (I have tried changing it, no difference), but even more than half an hour later I came back to my screen still being unlocked. After some time, the screen actually does turn off, but when I wiggle the mouse, it still comes back with no lock screen. The journal doesn't indicate any error. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Make sure to set the screen locker to turn on automatically after some amount of time in "Workspace Behaviour > Lock screen" 2. Leave the computer for that amount of time without giving any input. OBSERVED RESULT The lock screen never appears EXPECTED RESULT The lock screen should appear SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 37 KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.100.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 Kernel Version: 6.0.9-300.fc37.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland System Version: Lenovo IdeaPad C340-14API -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
