            Bug ID: 462194
Summary: RFE: Ability to clone only one window
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: KScreen
           Version: 5.26.3
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: common
          Assignee: kscreen-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: frederic.parre...@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr
  Target Milestone: ---

When teaching, I sometimes show what I do on my laptop using a videoprojector.
For that, I use the 'clone' mode of the screen.
It works, but the down side is that the students see everything on my screen
(e.g., the KDE panel, my running apps, the applets, etc.), while I just want to
show one window, for privacy reasons.
So my suggestion would be to allow to clone only one window.
It is exactly the choice you have when you want to share your screen during a
visioconference (e.g. using Zoom), you can choose the whole screen or just one
window.
What do you think about this idea?

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian Bookworm
KDE Plasma Version: 5.26.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98.0
Qt Version: 5.15.6

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I am not sure where to report that, would it belong to kwin or kscreen?
