Bug ID: 368737 Summary: [kde5] [User experience] Desktop corner trigger for showing all windows should also darken screen with just a single window Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: jonas@thiem.email The desktop corner trigger for showing all windows should also darken screen with just a single window. Using the desktop corner becomes quite an intuitive action over time about which you don't think so much, so it kind of "happens" intuitively and I might even use it when there is just a single application open. However, nothing visually happening at all as a result is then very irritating and feels very inconsistent. I understand this was probably meant to be "smart" by not doing anything when there are no windows to switch between, but I see no obvious benefit in this supposed smart behavior and it results in inconsistency and possibly even confusion (for new users trying to test if this functionality is available similar as seen in GNOME 3) Therefore I think KDE shouldn't be smart here just for the benefit of being smart when there is no real reason and it is potentially confusing users. Therefore, please make the "hot corner" action for seeing all windows on the desktop always trigger the window overview with darkened desktop & descriptions over the windows, even when there is just one window. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a single window only 2. Move mouse to top-left corner (with the default of show all windows on desktop hot corner action) Actual Results: Nothing happens Expected Results: Overview is shown in visually the same way as for multiple windows, even for just a single window -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
