Bug ID: 462020 Summary: Cannot connect to iPhone - iPhone can discover desktop PC, but desktop PC cannot discover iPhone Classification: Applications Product: kdeconnect Version: 22.08.2 Platform: OpenSUSE OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: common Assignee: albertv...@gmail.com Reporter: rodney.ba...@iinet.net.au Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** I have my desktop PC and iPhone on 2 different subnets, but with routing possible between them. I can add the desktop PC by IP address and the iPhone correctly finds it and determines the name. If I change the name in kdeconnect, I see the name change reflected after a Refresh Discovery. The desktop PC cannot discover the iPhone, and initiating a pairing request from the iPhone always times out. Port 1716 on the iPhone is accessible from the desktop PC running netcat. I can't find a way to add a device by IP address on the PC. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add desktop device by IP on iPhone app 2. Initiate pairing request 3. OBSERVED RESULT Pairing request times out, even though connectivity is available between the 2 subnets and no ports are blocked. EXPECTED RESULT SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: Linux/KDE Plasma: Opensuse Tumbleweed, Plasma 5.26.3 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 22.08.03 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.100.0 Qt Version: 5.15.7 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
