This problem leads to uther bugs like: Dolphin crashes on monitor turn on: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=460478 And GOG Wine installer windows moves to top-left corner when monitor turns off and back on: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=461244 STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Turn on the monitor while the OS is working. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Plasma tries to resize at monitor turn on EXPECTED RESULT It should not matter if the monitor is turned on or off hence it shoud not try to resize the resolution.
