Bug ID: 461700 Summary: Tellico ist damaging tc data file Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: spots...@gmx.de Target Milestone: --- I have been using Tellico as an address database for years. Current stock: almost 4500 addresses. As part of a system upgrade from Ubuntu Mate 20.04 to 22.04 Tellico thoroughly corrupted the database file. Special letters of different languages (e.g. German: ä, ü, ö / Spanish: ñ / French and Portuguese: ç / etc.) were eliminated. If corresponding places are corrected manually - i.e. the characters are inserted manually - they are preserved. If the corrupt tc-file is exchanged for the original one (backup), it remains undamaged when used with the graphical user interface, but the characters are still not displayed there. An attempt with a live Ubuntu system leads to the same results. A serious error, because the database is no longer usable and and thus Tellico not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
