I just log in once a day to update and see if it got better. Problem started with plasma 5.26. Thursday the 27 October the computer one again worked. Then I was away for a week but it now keeps on working perfectly. Its a DP main screen that was problematic. Secondary screen connected by a HDMI to DVI cable worked. Nvidia 1070 card with 515.65.01 driver. I just updated with pkcon and discover.
