In comment 24 I read: "There are actions which currently are not present in the
context menu which are more important than this feature" . Well, why don't you
give some examples?
Apart from that, people are asking for this feature is because they expect it
there to be. It has nothing to do with how important it is, just other viewers
(e.g. Gthumb, XnView do have this item). And furthermore it seems in place... A
user is browsing pictures and suddenly thinks: "that would be nice for
wallpaper"... It seems only practical that he can right-click and put the image
there...
This option is imo very practical when seen from a user perspective.
