Bug ID: 460655 Summary: Request - better ergonomics around multiple audio devices Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: k...@flavor8.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY I have: a) A bluetooth headset, with its own USB dongle b) A soundbar on the bottom of my monitor, which shows up as a USB device Sometimes I'll remove the headset's USB dongle and use it with my laptop, when working from a coffee shop. Switching between outputs from the icon in the system tray works. It's fine. It's just not very ergonomic. Requests (I can split into separate tickets if they are viable): a) Allow keyboard shortcuts to be mapped to allow switching between devices. b) Make "simultaneous output" a _default_ option (not necessarily selected, but at least present in the device menu) when there is more than one output device. (Right now, you have to find it in the settings and enable it.) c) Don't switch away from "simultaneous output" if a device becomes no longer present. (E.g. when I take the USB dongle for my headset to the coffee shop, or even on vacation, when I get back home and plug back in the USB dongle, "simultaneous output" should still be selected.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
