Right click menu on app in application launcher
SUMMARY
When a right click menu is open, or a menu bar item is open, the brightness and
volume cannot be adjusted using the keys on the keyboard. Also a Spectacle
screenshot cannot be taken using a shortcut.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Step 1.
Right click on something in the plasma desktop environment like the wallpaper,
desktop icons, an app in the task manager (task bar), an app in the application
launcher, a window's titlebar.
Right click on something inside an app. Left click to open an item in an app's
menu bar.
Step 2.
Attempt to take a Spectacle screenshot using a shortcut (mine is Meta E).
Attempt to adjust volume or brightness using the hotkeys with the brightness or
volume symbol in the top row on the keyboard.
These actions do nothing. However they work as expected when no right click
menu or menu bar is open.
EXCEPTION
The exception to this would be inside of the Firefox app (installed from the
firefox-105.0.3.tar.bz2 file on Mozilla's website) where I am still able to
take Spectacle screenshots, adjust volume and brightness, even when an item on
the menu bar is selected or when a right click menu is open. However, right
clicking on the Firefox titlebar disables all these actions.

SCREENSHOTS
In all the screenshots excluding the 2 with Firefox, I am unable to perform
global actions (change volume and brightness and take screenhots).
