Bug ID: 460481 Summary: application menu, widgets and krunner in wrong position on wayland Classification: Plasma Product: plasmashell Version: 5.26.0 Platform: Neon OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: niklas...@pm.me CC: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Target Milestone: 1.0 Created attachment 152839 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=152839&action=edit Application menu in wrong position an PC1 SUMMARY Since a few weeks (after I installed some updates through Discover) I have the problem that some items show up in a wrong position on Wayland. The application menu appears in the center of the screen and sometimes shows "Plasma" as an active window in the taskbar when opened. All other taskbar panels like Volume Control, Networking etc. also show up in the center of the screen. While the application menu and these panels are all centered on the bottom of the screen, notifications appear in the middle of the screen (see screenshots). KRunner also appears in the middle of the screen, even though I have set it to stick to the top. All of these issues happen on two very different computers I use, but only on Wayland-sessions, on X11 everything works as expected. STEPS TO REPRODUCE I basically have this every time I use Wayland since I updated some packages, but I don't remember which ones, I just clicked the update button in Discover, like I do every day. 1. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT Panel widgets, application menu, notifications and KRunner appear on wrong positions on the screen EXPECTED RESULT Application menu opens on the left side of the screen, panel widgets and notifications appear on the right side of the screen, KRunner shows up on the top of the screen.
