I have a similar issue, but when the freeze happens I can't do anything except
force shutdown (with the power button) and restart. It happens randomly but
daily and only on wayland. I am also on an AMD setup, Arch Linux. I have also
seen this message: kwin_wayland_drm: an error occurred while swapping buffers
"EGL_BAD_SURFACE"
