Investigated a bit and it seems like this issue is in the Purpose Framework.
In barcodeplugin_config.qml, the barcode item fills the size of its parent item
(which takes its preferred size of the barcode, thereby being a binding loop
too), rather than bubbling its implicit size up to its parent.
