Confirmed, again. Revert of the revert of the revert patch added back into my
portage tree. Again.
Can we not just kill this misfeature with fire, please? And not keep trying to
put it back in, pretty please? 

I mean, seriously, what is the use-case here? What problem are we trying to
solve with this functionality?
