It is hard work as anything else.
It requires a lot of efforts and also time.
At the moment I am working on selectively enable/disable some features per
website (like javascript) due to similar reasons.
But it takes a while to design it and make it work nicely.
The next stop could be some AdBlock improvement, but I cannot promise that,
since I was only lurking around for a long time.
I would also think that the hope of original developer was to put this project
to KDE so that someone can pick it up.
