Wayland no longer allows applications to grab inputs by applications. The peak example is VoiP programs that support push-to-talk. Some apps (see Mumble) are starting to adapt by exposing an rpc interface (e.g., `mumble rpc starttalking` and `mumble rpc stoptalking`). That's a great start, but not being able to bind those commands to a mouse button makes them quite useless.
