            Bug ID: 457864
Summary: Manual menu entry is shown in the search also if
                    deleted
           Product: kmenuedit
           Version: 5.25.4
          Platform: Neon Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: enric...@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Hello, I downloaded the Thunderbird AppImage and I wanted to have it in the
"Start" menu. So I've created a new entry in the menu using kmenuedit.
Everything worked fine and the application starts correctly.

Then I've choosed to switch from the AppImage to the Snap Package, so I needed
to remove that manual entry created for the Thunderbird AppImage. I've done it
through the kmenuedit application and the entry has been removed.

Now, if I *search* "Thunderbird" in the kickoff launcher search it still finds
that manual "Thunderbird" menu voice! This happens because the local search
find the .desktop file in the folder "/home/USER/.local/share/applications"
which has not been deleted when I deleted the manual entry from kmenuedit (I
suppose).

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a new entry in the menu using kmenuedit
2. Check that it can be found using the search from the kickoff launcher
3. From kmenuedit, delete the entry previously created
4. The entry is not shown in the menu, but it appears when searching from the
kickoff launcher
5. That entry refers to the .desktop file in the
/home/USER/.local/share/applications folder

OBSERVED RESULT
Manual entries are still shown when searching from the kickoff launcher, even
if they have been deleted from the menu

EXPECTED RESULT
Deleted entries should not be shown when searching. They should be really
deleted.
