If you want to improve images in that part of documentation, please contact
Wolthera first.
In any case, in my opinion, what should be done is this:
- create a sample .kra file with two layers - preferably something that would
include situations like shadow, highlight and some random shapes to be able to
show all useful effects.
- use this to generate images for all blending modes to be consistent (so users
can compare effects of different blending modes).

Videos or gifs can sometimes be a good idea but for blending modes, I think it
would be better to just have images.

Having different images just for few blending modes wouldn't look good, which
is why I think a new .kra file should be created. (the old kra file got lost
anyway, and we need a .kra file in case new blending modes are added).
