Bug ID: 456970 Summary: Incorrectly displayed logo of AppImage Product: kwin Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: compositing Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: bugs_kde_org.5.k...@spamgourmet.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 150783 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=150783&action=edit Icon comparison of two development builds of RawTherapee SUMMARY The displayed icon of an AppImage (in this case RawTherapee) varies in quality from build to build. Even the icon itself as well as the way it is included is not changed. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Download several versions of the AppImage from the github RawTherapee repo (https://github.com/Beep6581/RawTherapee/releases/tag/nightly-github-actions) OBSERVED RESULT The displayed quality of the logo varies in quality (see attached file) EXPECTED RESULT The displayed quality of the logo does not vary in quality SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: KDE neon 5.25 KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.96.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 Kernel Version: 5.13.0-52-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics Memory: 30.8 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: AMD RENOIR Manufacturer: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Product Name: Bravo 17 A4DDR System Version: REV:1.0 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have no idea if kwin is the correct place to put this is, feel free to move it. I I already reported this on github: https://github.com/Beep6581/RawTherapee/issues/6527 The person who checked the bug answered "This could be because of the desktop environment. I downloaded the 3101 AppImage and the icon is 32x32, the same as the one you show for 3102." I have no idea who causes this issue. I have noticed in the past that the quality of the icon image was very bad (like 8 by 8 pixel) then it got a lot better (v 3101) and now it gets worse. Since the icon of the AppImage itself stayed the same my guess that it is caused by the application, but I have no idea. Could this bug be caused by KDE, KDE neon or the KDE framework? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
