STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start VLC
2. Open the menu: File --> Recently opened
3. Hover the cursor, while the jumping "busy cursor" occurs over the "Recently
opened" submenu
OBSERVED RESULT
In the area where the "busy cursor" jumps, the background becomes lighter.
