Bug ID: 456268 Summary: New event creation window is sometimes too narrow to show all information Product: kalendar Version: 22.04.2 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: claudio.cam...@gmail.com Reporter: kishor...@gmail.com CC: c...@carlschwan.eu Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 150358 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=150358&action=edit Screenshot of the issue SUMMARY The content of the new event creation window has a maximum size that is sometimes too narrow to show all the contents. Either it should be made wider, or the content should be properly line-wrapped when needed. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Kalendar 2. In the toolbar, click "+ create > new event" 3. Select 'Repeat > Daily' 4. Select 'Ends > On' 5. Maximize the event creation window OBSERVED RESULT The box that displays the end date is so small that the user cannot read what is inside it (see attached screenshot, where only 'AM' is visible in the box). This persists even after the window is maximized. EXPECTED RESULT The box that shows the end date should be wide enough. This may be handled either by making the content area wider, or by putting that control on a new line. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.95.0 Qt Version: 5.15.5 Kernel Version: 5.15.51-1-lts (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × AMD EPYC Processor (with IBPB) Memory: 1.4 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor: virgl Manufacturer: QEMU ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The bad handling of horizontal overflows is also problematic for languages with long words or wide scripts, given the extremely limited amount of horizontal space available in this context.
