Thanks for your report!
18.12.3 is a very old version (about 4 years old now) and a lot happened in the
meanwhile (eg. the timeline was completely rewritten) hence this version is not
supported anymore. Usually it we recommend to use the latest official Appimage
from https://kdenlive.org/downloads However I fear this will not work on the
Raspberry Pi and you have to update your OS or build things yourself :-(

Feel free to reopen this report if you still face this issue with the latest
Kdenlive version.
