Bug ID: 456032 Summary: Secondary screen sometimes superimposed on primary screen Product: plasmashell Version: 5.24.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Multi-screen support Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: frederic.parre...@univ-grenoble-alpes.fr CC: aleix...@kde.org, notm...@gmail.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY *** NOTE: If you are reporting a crash, please try to attach a backtrace with debug symbols. See https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports *** STEPS TO REPRODUCE I have a Dell XPS13 9370 laptop with debian12/Plasma/X11. I connect the laptop to a Dell DS-1000 docking station which is connected to an external monitor. The external screen is used as a secondary screen, which is right of the primary screen. Sometimes, when connecting/unconnecting the laptop to the docking station, the external screen becomes superimposed to the primary screen. I did not find a 100% reproducible case, sometimes it happens and sometimes not, but it happens quite often (say, 10% of the cases). OBSERVED RESULT The secondary screen becomes sometimes superimposed to the primary screen. EXPECTED RESULT The secondary screen should stay on the right of the primary screen.
