I have tried: setting /etc/environment to: INPUT_METHOD=ibus GTK_IM_MODULE=ibus QT_IM_MODULE=ibus XMODIFIERS=@im=ibus AND QT_IM_MODULE=ibus AND QT_IM_MODULE= and rebooting afterwards.
