            Bug ID: 454289
Summary: [wayland] Animations play too fast on refresh rates
                    above 60Hz
           Product: Elisa
           Version: 22.04.1
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: matthieu_gall...@yahoo.fr
          Reporter: indecisiveautoma...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Animations on Elisa play too fast on refresh rates above 60Hz, and speed up the
higher the refresh rate. For example at 75Hz it's just a little too fast, but
at 165Hz it's way too fast. This applies to several places I have tested,
including "Toggle Party Mode", "Show Playlist" and the Application Menu.
Specifically to the Application Menu, it appears so fast the fade-in animation
is not even visible to me at 165Hz, but is on my regular 60Hz displays.

It does not alter behaviour in any way but it is a little jarring and
distracting from the overall experience when the animations play too fast.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Elisa
2. Click on an element that makes an animation, such as Show Playlist or the
Application Menu
3. Animation plays too fast

OBSERVED RESULT
Animations play too fast on refresh rates above 60Hz, at 165Hz it seems to be
over twice as fast.

EXPECTED RESULT
Animation speed should be consistent regardless of refresh rate.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.17.9-zen1-1-zen (64bit)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.94.0
Qt Version: 5.15.4

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Also applies to 5.24.90 I believe though I have since rolled back
- Unsure if it affects any other KDE Software, Elisa is the only one I can find
that produces this behaviour
