Very often, but not always, when I start the session with an external monitor
attached (so that it is the main only active monitor) the desktop background
appears black, notifications appear in the middle of the screen and krunner on
the left. By restarting only Plasmashell (kquitapp5 plasmashell; kstart5
plasmashell) everything returns to normal.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. configure the external screen as the only and main screen
2. restart the session
OBSERVED RESULT
the desktop background appears black, notifications appear in the middle of the
screen and krunner on the left
