I'd like to encourage everyone here to look at their favorite apps and see whether they respect the option or not. If not, please file a bug report for them. You could use my reports for Dolphin and system settings are inspiration/a template. It may be useful to always put Bug 57240 in ‘Depends on’ (just the number suffices) and this bug, Bug 364321, in ‘Blocks’ (toggle advanced fields if needed). That way, we can use this bug to track adherence of apps. (I would say this is a soft block, as the UI implementation need not wait for fixes landing with the apps.
