I do not expect it to open a file if I click on the file details columns (date,
size, etc...).
It could happen to click unintentionally here, as example while you try to
select multiple files with mouse.

I think that with "single click" mode enabled it should behave in the following
way:
- if you click on the red rectangle (see attached image) the file will open
- if you click in the area to the right of the red rectangle the file will only
be selected
