Two people in the studio are starting to work with Kdenlive and they use
LinuxMint (I am not familiar with this system). Eveytime they add an effect to
a track the project monitor turns black.

Any hint on how to fix this?
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add a track to the timeline and press play. It plays normally in the project
monitor.
2. Add an effect (brightness) to the track and the project monitor screen turns
black.
3.
Actual Results:
The screen turns black in the project monitor.
Expected Results:
The effect should appear in the project monitor.
