You may forgive the new Linux user, but: How do I do that?
Somthing like "libinput -v" in the terminal? Ormaybe something with xinput?

I tested the issue on a live USB with Ubuntu 22.10. I sometimes get the same
error.
After restart KDE neon I got the same issue. It does not work most of the time,
and for a short moment the touchpad works (scrolling, clicking, tab to click,
etc.).
After I wrote a few words in here, the touchpad is gone again. So it *might* be
my PC, but since it's rather new and the touchpad showed no sign of 'dying' I
don't think so. Is there any diagnostic tool that shows touchpad inputs like
there is for the game controler in the KDE settings app?

Some more weirdness: The touchpad does not work. I keep moving my fingers
across the touchpad. All the sudden the mouse starts moving.
