Bug ID: 453213 Summary: Too coarse tuning of output video quality, no audio quality setting Product: kdenlive Version: 22.04.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Video Display & Export Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: thwr...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY After the recent update, the rendering settings window doesn't have a control for output audio quality. For video quality, there are only 5 levels (0-25-50-75-100%). While it is more intuitive now (higher numbers mean higher quality), it doesn't allow fine tuning of the CRF setting of codecs. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open/create a Kdenlive project 2. Press the Render button 3. Select Generic->MP4-H264/AAC output format 4. Tick the "More options" box 5. Look at the Settings pane OBSERVED RESULT For audio, there is only on/off tick box. For video, only 5 quality levels are available. EXPECTED RESULT Fine tuning of audio and video quality is possible. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: openSUSE Tumbleweed, 5.17.4-1-default KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.93.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This bug has already been reported on Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/kdenlive/comments/ubmiik/kdenlive_2204_how_to_achieve_correct_bitrate_when/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
