We've gotten requests for this before, and I gather there's a Windows app that
does this which some people have gotten used to. But I don't think it's a good
idea at all to add this to Plasma itself as a 1st-party thing. People would
enable it out of curiosity, forget they enabled it, and panic when they can't
find their icons.
This is a good 3rd-party app/script opportunity, but I don't think it has a
place in Plasma as an officially-supported 1st-party feature, sorry. :)
