I can Confirm this for the Apr 18 5.1.0-prealpha (git 4205530a30) appimage on
Debian 10, for the Polygonal Selection Tool - Pixel and Vector selections
Other selection tools do not have this problem.
The 4.4.8 appimage does not have this problem.
For locked and invisible layers, there is a warning notice when the polygonal
selection is completed.
For a group layer, there is no warning.
