SUMMARY
After prolonged period of uptime, I'm unable to change the volume of my system
unless I go through System settings.
I was able to "fix" it by restarting Latte.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Don't shut down the computer
2. Just sleep
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
The applet or keyboard shortcut won't respond to the key press, or manipulating
the slider. Only by going to System Settings will it work

Latte shouldn't have to be restarted to make the keyboard shortcut and applet
work.
