STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. play a video without an embedded cover art with VLC player or another player
controllable with Media Player applet
2. click on Media Player applet in the system tray

OBSERVED RESULT
as we can observe in the attached screenshot, the horizontal spaces between the
borders of the applet and its contents are inconsistent. The space between the
left edge and the contents is larger than the space between the right border
and the contents.
EXPECTED RESULT
consistent space between the borders of the applet and its contents
